As this awful season draws ever closer to its miserable end we can look forward to a summer rebuild. Eleven contracts expire. Who, if any would you keep ?

Cundle - not sure what he does and not seen enough yet. I wouldn’t be bothered if he signed or left.

Haksabanovic - return to Celtic, we should have loaned the guy WBA got.

McNally - don’t trust him, often makes an error, rarely heads the ball on target from corners. Get rid.

Hoever - either plays well or has a nightmare. I’m undecided.

Iverson - improving the more he plays. I’d keep him.

Campbell - he’s no interest being here get rid.

Wesley - biggest waste of a shirt ever, get rid.

Thompson - decent squad player. I’d keep.

Stevens - too old, too injury prone, get rid.

Ciaran Clark - forgot he was here. Another waste of a shirt and wage.

Blondy - not seen anywhere near enough to comment.

Thompson, Haks & Hoever probably be the three I’d look to keep.

Also agree with Iverson but I’d rather take Travers or Johansson (Rotherham keeper whose contract expires also). Main thing about a keeper is getting someone on a permanent.

The rest can absolutely go.

What positions do you think we need to recruit in?

Well, defensively we are a mess and have been all season. The left back situation needs addressing for sure, one or two solid centre halves wouldn’t go amiss and we have to get a decent keeper long term too. That would be the priority for me.

Midfield isn’t too bad providing we don’t lose Burger. I’d always be on the lookout to upgrade if we could but not at the expense of the defence.

Forwards, well along with every other club we need a finisher. I don’t think Ennis will manage every game and his first touch isn’t always the best and Campbell will be gone so we don’t really have a natural finisher.

It’s another big window. There’s too much use of the loan system for my liking. How do we build for the future and how do get the players with the right attitude for Stoke if we keep having to return them once we’ve given them some game time and got them a bit more experience ? One or two yes but no more than that.

Completely agree.

I’d actually leave the midfield alone also. Only loan id consider would be a wide player and potentially that potent striker we’re all looking for. Apart from that if we can afford it I’d try keep the loans to a minimum unless some unreal options come available. Also helps to have loans free in January in my opinion.

Money should be spent on the back line and goalkeeper though for sure. Why we sold Tymon I will never know, he’s been brilliant for Swansea this year.

That Tymon sale was bewildering to say the least. Sell the only left back we had and replace him with Enda Stevens who’s old and injury prone ? Alex Neil and Ricky Martin certainly sold us out with that one. They both needed sacking for that decision alone.

I wouldn’t trust SS with any transfer funds if Cundle and Ennis are anything to go buy , they are conference players at best

The amount of money wasted/thrown away/spunked on shite players since our relegation is truly frightening and staggering at the same time. I'm sure there would be a way to work it out. Tymon didn't exactly set the world on fire with us however that could be said for a host of others too. He's showing at the Jack's what a capable player he is :(

Thompson for another year or two as he's a versatile squad player and one of our few current 'tough nut' players. Hoever if we can get him on a decent deal from Wolves and Cundle as a loan only again as not sure he's done enough to warrant a permanent transfer?

Hoever is a weird one, he sometimes looks decent and can score from time to time but then he can also have a nightmare and often gifts the opposition goals. I think he’s scored three for us so far this season but there’s at least two or three moments he’s given goals away.

It would be interesting to see how many points we gained through his goals compared to how many points we dropped because of his errors.

I can’t see Wolves letting him near their first team so might be worth a bid but didn’t they want 8 million or something last time we enquired ? He’s nowhere near that value so if the price is too high I’d look elsewhere.
